Open Position:

Graduate Student (Ph.D.): We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in Brain Machine Interfacing. The project is focused on further developing somatosensory neuroprosthesis and generalized neural control via microsimulation in the somatosensory periphery, thalamus, and cortex. Relevant training in the following would be ideal, but it is not expected that any one individual would have all of these. 1) Work on control systems. 2) Neurophysiology and electrophysiology. 3) Animal training experience. 4) Deep Learning and Machine Learning. We are in the Biomedical Engineering Department, where the applicant would need to be accepted in order to take this position.
